Farhan Akhtar’s all set to take over the small screen with his TV show Oye... It’s Friday on December 12. And the first guest to make an appearance on this show is one other than his best buddy Hrithik Roshan.

The show has no formal conversations but the Rock On star promises that there’s a lot of fun and humour on his show. And Hrithik can vouch for that. While hosting the show, Farhan in his usual playful mood, asked Hrithik about his closeness to his Jodhaa Akbar co-star.

On the occasion of Bakr-Eid Tuesday, Muslim film personalities will show their solidarity towards the Mumbai terror victims by wearing
black bands and stress that terrorism has no place in Islam. But some feel that all Indians, irrespective of their religion, should adopt the symbolic gesture.

Farhan Akhtar: My request is that all Indians should wear a black band regardless of their religion and community to show terrorists and those who try and exploit this situation in the upcoming elections that their tactics to divide us will no longer work.

After having recieved rave reviews for his acting and singing skills, Farhan now gears up to plunge into brand endorsements. And he kicks it off with Maruti's A-Star, a small segment car, the tagline of which says 'Stop @ Nothing'.

Director, actor, singer and now a television show anchor. Why did ‘Oye...’ It’s Friday appeal to you?

The show is going to be different and will have mass appeal. It is a first time attempt on Indian television to include talents from various fields on such a large scale.

You have been a reality show judge on television earlier.

But Oye... is a completely different experience. This show will have singing, dancing, gags with cutting-edge humour and mimicry. I’m the host of the show, but I would rather term myself as the master of ceremony because I will be interacting both with the viewers and the guests on the show.
